You must remain in destination and will not be permitted to travel to the airport or board your return flight to Canada. Please defer to the directions provided by your hotel who follows the local government’s health and safety protocols. They can also advise if you are permitted to quarantine at the hotel. You should also alert the Sunwing Experiences team in destination that you will not be travelling using the "Contact Us" form available on Sunwing.ca or the Sunwing App. Your airport transfer will be cancelled once you complete the form. Once you are able to travel, you can request a new flight with Sunwing. All additional costs are the sole responsibility of the traveller – please contact your travel insurance provider and review your coverage for medical expenses and trip interruption if applicable.
Residual positive molecular test results (e.g. PCR, RT-LAMP, etc.) are acceptable for travel if taken at least 10 days but no more than 180 days prior to the scheduled departure flight to Canada as long as you are symptom-free. For example, if you tested positive in destination on February 1, 2022, the earliest you would be permitted to travel is on February 11, 2022.
Effective February 28 2022, if you test positive with a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), you will need to schedule a COVID-19 molecular test (e.g. a PCR test) as soon as possible as residual positive RAT tests will not be acceptable for travel to Canada.
