Many countries will no longer accept passports that are not valid for 6 months after the return date, nor will they accept passports damaged in any way. As travel requirements can change, it is your responsibility to check the entry requirements put in place by the border authorities of the country you are planning to visit as well as the Government of Canada website travel.gc.ca/travelling/advisories.
RETURNING TO CANADA –Passengers must use ArriveCAN to digitally submit their COVID-19 related information before boarding their flight to Canada. This can be done by downloading the ArriveCAN app (available on Google Play or the App Store) or by completing the required information online at Canada.ca/ArriveCAN. Failure to comply could result in enforcement action, which can range from verbal warnings to $1,000 fines.
An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required for visa-exempt foreign nationals entering Canada. Canadian citizens, holders of a valid Canadian Permanent Resident Card, and U.S. Citizens are exempt. The eTA will be required when boarding a flight to Canada. We strongly recommend that eligible travellers submit their applications prior to departure from Canada. For complete details, visit http://Canada.ca/eTA
